Within the framework of Community Tree Planting Day 2026 (held from February 28 to March 1, 2026), Austdoor Group (ADG), in collaboration with TreeBank and the Leaf It To Us (LITU) project by students of Concordia International School Hanoi, donated 900 flood-resistant bamboo seedlings to Tam Quang Commune (Nghe An). ADG’s leadership and staff also directly participated in planting and handing over the trees to local residents in western Nghe An.

“Flood-Resistant Bamboo” Solution

The Flood-Resistant Bamboo Project is a nature-based solution that helps reinforce riverbanks and reduce the risk of erosion in areas frequently affected by floods. Bamboo’s deep root system stabilizes the soil, reduces erosion, and slows water flow, while also contributing to ecosystem restoration.

In addition to environmental benefits, bamboo also creates long-term livelihood opportunities for local communities through the harvesting of bamboo shoots and bamboo-based products. The “community tree planting” model connects corporate sponsors providing seedlings with local residents who directly care for them, thereby enhancing shared ownership and ensuring long-term sustainability.

Speaking at the Community Tree Planting Day 2026 program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Thu – Representative of Austdoor Group (ADG) – stated:
